Copper substrate is the most expensive of all metal substrates. Its thermal conductivity is many times better than that of aluminum substrate and fiberglass board. It is suitable for high-frequency circuits, areas with large changes in high and low temperatures, and the heat dissipation and building decoration industries of fine communication equipment.
The thermal conductivity of copper substrate is twice that of aluminum, so it is very good in thermal conductivity. However, due to the problems of price and processing technology, copper substrate is not particularly used for LED lamps.
There are two types of copper substrates. One is the general copper substrate, which is the same structure as the aluminum substrate, namely, copper foil, insulation layer, and copper substrate. Because the heat conduction of this general copper substrate is bound by the insulation layer, it is not much different from the general aluminum substrate, but the price is quite expensive, so it is generally not accepted by customers now; The other is the thermoelectricity separated copper substrate, which is now the mainstream of shopping malls. The main reason is that the heat conduction column of LED lamp beads is directly welded with the copper substrate through solder paste. The heat can be transferred to copper very well, and then transferred from copper to the radiator of lamps.
